If there is some significance in the sequence of standby and hibernate I think you will only uncover it by experimenting. Erratic errors are the hardest to fix. It is not uncommon for the hibernation feature, whether activated or not, to use the C disk for data storage. That is not the problem.

Standby/Hibernate blows out wireless connection
Power management is set to always on with hibernate unselected. A7V motherboard, regardless of OS, when hibernating or going into standby, works exactly *once*. On the second attempt, the OS will freeze in the "going into standby/hibernation" screen. Has anyone figured out the solution to this problem? It's driving me crazy. Thanks. Andy.

I can also state that when I first placed the card in the AGP slot and after booting up, I noticed that in Device Manager PCI-to-PCI Bridge was not working and ATI stated turning off PLUG and PLAY OS in the BIOS, so I did and that seem to correct that, but still have an issue with Standby and Hibernate.

Its just not a good choice for a PC. It doesnt even work properly on most laptops. I have yet to determine if its a problem with windows.. or a problem with how the PC hardware reacts to it.. but It isn't just a Windows thing; I've never got 'suspend' or 'standby' or 'hibernate' to work reliably with any OS.
